Squirrel Scouts are aged between four to six years old.

Our Squirrel Drey meets every Tuesday evening between 4:30pm and 5:30pm.

Squirrel Scouts get a chance to try a wide range of different games and activities. The main aims of the section are to introduce young people to Scouts, as well as making new friends and having fun.

During investiture, a Squirrel Scout will be asked to make the Squirrel Scout promise:

The Squirrel Scout Promise
I promise to do my best

To be kind and helpful
And to love God.

Once a Squirrel Scout is invested, they will take part in a Balanced Programme which consists of four challenge awards including, All About Me, All About Adventure, All Around Us and All Together.

Squirrel Scouts also have the opportunity of earning 12 activity badges which includes badges in Story Time, Super Chef, Brilliant Builder and many more! There are also 14 staged activity badges which are awarded depending on the level of skill a Squirrel Scout has earned.

The Chief Scout’s Acorn Award is the highest award in the Squirrel section and is awarded once all the challenge awards and a selection of activity badges have been achieved.
